Katrin Nora Kober is a researcher, designer and educator working on the intersection of design, art and technology – with a liking for digital tools and tangible outcomes. Since 2023 she is part of the ‘All Kinds* of Makers*’ research team at the Center for Human Computer Interaction at Salzburg University. Her focus is on sometimes-overlooked agencies and activities in the realm of technology-driven making. Through her work and beyond, she is dedicated to co-building a world that sustains.
Katrin graduated from Academy of Fine Arts and University of Applied Arts Vienna and has since been working, amongst others, at Institute of Contemporary Art at Technical University Graz (Assistant Professor), Institute of Studies in Art and Art Education at University of Applied Arts Vienna (lecturer), Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab (curator) and Happylab Vienna (tutor).
During her studies Katrin co-founded design°mobil. To date this action group has been creating over a hundred design interventions and learning opportunities for various contexts and diverse audiences. Its projects range from design-it-yourself and do-it-together workshops to guided tours and further training of teachers.
